Our classrooms are designed to maximize independent learning and exploration. Children at this level are allowed to explore and learn with the materials available to them. In the kindergarten classroom, children develop their practical life skills and learn to care for their environment. They discover the relationship between shapes, colors, and sizes through the sensory materials. A plethora of mathematics, language, science, and geography materials are readily available for their use. Each child learns at his or her own pace and as such, will not be forced to learn subjects they are not interested in or not ready for, which is unique to Montessori education.
